අ කල්ව, ad. untimely, unseasonably, නුසුදුසු කාලයට, නොකලට.

අ චින්තිත. a. unthought of, unconsidered, කල්පනානූණ.

අ භූත මතය, n. vain fancy, chimera, හිස් කල්පනාව.

අ යෝනිසෝ මනස්කාරය, n. wrong or unwise consideration, improper application of the mind, අනිසි—නුවණනැති—කල්පනාව.

අ විතර්‍ක, a. unreflecting, කල්පනානොකරන, unreasoning, not disputatious, තර්‍කනොකරන.

අ සං කල්පිත, (for අසඬකල්පිත &c.), a. undesigned, unintentional, අදහස් නොකරනලද.

අ සංඛ්‍ය කල්පය, n. the period so called, being about twenty අන්තඃ කල්ප.

අ සද්ධර්‍මය, n. (අසත් untrue), untrue doctrine, heterodoxy, මිථ්‍යාධර්‍මය; evil practice. අයහ පත් කල්ක්‍රියාව; cohabitation, මෛථුනය, සං වාසය.

අ සම්මතිය, n. difference, dissension in opinion, කල්පනාවේ වෙනස, එකමුතුනැතිකම.

අටඟ මග, n. (අට, අග portion, section), the eightfold way to Nirvāna, i. e. the way embracing eight sections, viz. — 1. සම්‍යක් දෘෂ්ටිය, right view, orthodoxy. 2. සම්‍යක් සංකල්පනාව, right volition or determination. 3. සම්‍යක් වචනය, right speech. 4. සම්‍යක් කර්‍මන්තය, right action. 5. සම්‍යක් ආජීවය, right living or livelihood. 6. සම්‍යක් ව්‍යායාමය, right effort. 7. සම්‍යක් සමෘතිය, right remembrance or contemplation of the past. 8. සම්‍යක් සමාධිය, right meditation.

අත්තනෝ මතය, අත්තනෝ මතිය, n. (අත්තනෝ one's own, මති will), one's own will or private opinion, තමාගේම කැමැත්ත or කල්පනාව.

අතීත කාල නිරීක්ෂණය, n. retrospection, retrospect, පසුවූකාරණ බැලීම or කල්පනා කෙරීම.

අතුරු කප, n. E. of අන්තඃකල්පය, which see.

අනභිරතිය, n. absence of desire or delight in, අශානැතිකම, ප්‍රසන්න නැතිකම; passionlessness, රාග or ෙකල්ශ නැනිකම.

අන්තඃ කල්පය, n. a certain number of years in Buddhism: according to B. man's age increases by imperceptible degrees from ten years to an Asankhya (අසංඛ්‍ය) and then decreases in the same way to ten years: the period required for this is an Antahkalpa. See අසංඛ්‍ය.
