අ වඤ්චා, a. unfeigning, guileless &c.: see අවංක.

අ සංඥා තලය, අ සඤ්ඤ තලය, n. plane of unconsciousness, name of a Brahma world, එනම්වූ බඹලොව.

අ සමඤ්ජසය, n. (අ priv., සං with, අඤජස straight), disparity, අසමානකම; impropriety, අයුතුකම.

අ ස්ථාවර, a. unstable, irregular, movable, ස්ථීර නැති, වඤාවල.

අභි ඤ්ඤා, n. P. of අභිඥාව.

අභි ධර්‍ම පිටකය, n. transcendent-doctrine repository, viz. the third Pitaka. It is divided into seven sections, viz. ධම්මසඬගණී, විභංග, ධාතුකථා, පුග්ගල පඤ්ඤත්ති, කථාවන්ථු, යමක, පට්ඨාන.

අරඤ්ඤ, a. P. of අරණ්‍ය.

අශ්ම රස, අශ්ම සාර, n. lit. stone essence, viz. iron, යකඩ; also රසාඤ්ජන, which see.

අශිත්‍යනු ව්‍යඤජන, n. pl. (අශිති අනු)the eighty minor characteristics of Buddha, as, well-shaped fingers &c., කුඩා ලක්ෂණ අසූව.

අෂ්ට සමාපත්ති, n. pl. B., the eight attainments, or the four meditations (see ධ්‍යානය) and the four endeavours (ආයතන), which are ආකාසා නංචායතනය, විඤ්ඤාණංචායතනය, ආකිචංඤ්ඤායත නය and නේවසංඤ්ඤාණසඤ්ඤායතනය: see each one.

අස්ථි පඤජරය, අස්ථි සංඛලිකය, n. skeleton, ඇට සැකිල්ල.

අසූ ව්‍යජන ලක්ෂණ, n. pl. (ව්‍යජන characteristic): see අශීත්‍යනුව්‍යඤජන.

ආකිචඤඤායතනය, n. the third Brahma world, where the inhabitants live sixty thousand kalpas in an incorporeal state.

උක්කුජ්ජ පඤඤයා, උක්කුජ්ජ ප්‍රාඥයා, n. person of retentive mind, who is like a vessel right way up which retains what falls in.

උගස‍ටිතඤඤ, a. of clear or acute intellect, සිහී බුධි ඇති,තික්ෂණ නුවණැති.
