අඬ සද්දෙක දුර, n. (සද්දෙක for සද්දයක, E. of ශබ්දයක), shouting-distance, hearing-distance, අඬ ඇසෙන දුර.

අන්තරය, n. intermediate space; interval; අතර තුර; distance or difference (between two points &c.), දුර ප්‍රමාණය.

අභි ඥාත, a. ascertained, known, දැන‍‍‍ගනතිබෙව, දන්නාලද, අභිඥානය, අභිඥාව n profound or sp. or extraordinary knowledge, cognition, recognition, විශේෂ දැනගැන්ම or දැනීම; five supernatural acquirements of Rahats, viz. power to assume any form, to hear the feeblest sounds and see objects at any distance, to know the disposition and thoughts of others, to know the condition of any person in former existences.

අෂ්ට දුෂ්ට ක්ෂණ, n. pl. the eight evil moments or occasions, viz. to be born 1 in hell, 2 as an animal, 3 as a goblin, 4 in the two Brahma worlds where neither body nor mind exists, 5 in outer or distant countries where Buddhism is not, 6 with the five senses perverted or confused, 7 as a pagan, 8 in a Buddhaless age.
