ධ්‍යානය
ධ්‍යානය, n. B., meditation, profound contemplation, concentration of the thought and purpose in order to obtain Nirvāna, such an intentness of mind that it is supposed to exclude objects of sense so that they are unperceived or make no impression. The following may illustrate the different stages. The first may be compared to thirst; the second, to the seeking of water; the third, to the joy of finding it; the fourth, to the benefit and satisfection derived from drinking it; the fifth, to the quiet repose and rest in the shade after the want has been satisfied.
නව·ගුණ
නව·ගුණ, n. pl. nine qualities or virtues, sp. those of Buddha, which in P. are: අරහං holiness or අරහත් state, සම්මාසබුද්ඬෝ perfect Buddhahood, විජ්ජාචරණ සම්පන්නෝ perfection of knowledge and wisdom, සුගතො of amiable and excellent character, ලොකවිදු knowledge of the Universe, අනුත්තරො පුරිස ධම්ම සාරථි irrefutable guidance and control of men, සත්‍ථා දේවමනුස්සානං instructor of gods and men, බුද්ධෝ wisdom, භගවා blessedness.
