අවතාරය, n. apparition, ghost, fantasm, spectre, sprite, manes, ප්‍රේතයා; in ancient usage: descent or incarnation of a god, as of Vishnu in the form of a fish, tortoise, boar, man-lion (නෘසිංහ), dwarf, the two Rāmas, Krishna, Buddha, Kalki &c.; also for අවතරණය.

ඇණිකුඹය, n. bowsprit.

පංච·ගති, පංච·මහා·ගති, n. pl. five states, sp. the five conditions in which re-birth may occur: in hell or as a brute, a sprite, a human being, and as a divinity or brahma.

ප්‍ර·තාපය, n. great heat, තද උෂ්ණය; punishment, දඬුවම; zeal, ප්වලිතකම; majesty, glory, තේජය, dignity, high sprit of rank and power, මහන්තත්‍වය.

ප්‍රේතයා, n. ghost, goblin, sprite, manes; fig. filthy person, කැතයා.

ප්‍රේති, n. fem. female sprite or goblin.

පේ, n. demon, යකා; sprite, goblin, manes, ප්‍රේතයා; phase of the moon, පෝය; wood, grove, —as හල් පේ, hal tree grove.

භූත, a. that has become or been or taken place, වුණවූ; or being, ඇත්තාවූ; pert. to the elements, ධාතුක, or to sprites, රාක්‍ෂස.

භූත·කේශය, n. (භූත sprite, කේශ hair), the root of sweet-flag, වදකහ.

භූත·ගන්‍ධා, n. a sort of perfume or resin, perhaps so called because used in the worship of sprites.

භූත·වාසය, n. lit. abode of demons; sp. the tree beleric myrobalan, as a favourite haunt of sprites, බුළුගහ.
