සම්පත්කාරයා, n mas. wealthy person, වස්තුකාරයා.

සං·සේද·ජය, or යෝනිය, n. (සේද worms &c., ජය, යෝනිය, birth), one of the four states of animal existence, viz. birth or existence as a worm or insect, vermin existence or life.

සාල්, n. or a. (fr. ශාලි), husked rice, හාල්.

සාමුද්‍රය, n. (fr සමුද්‍ර), cuttle-fish bone, see සමුද්‍ර කළුය; (fr. ස + මුද්‍ර), spot or mark on the body, ලපය.

ස්කන්‍ධය, n. shoulder, උරඉස; body, trunk, කඳ; mass, multitude or quantity. රැස, සමූහය, army, සේනාව; book, section or chapter, කාණ්ඩය, පරිච්ජේදය; element or object of sense, as form, sound, scent, flavour, substance, see පංචස්කන්‍ධ and පංචකාම.

සූරනවා, v. t. to scratch, scrape, grate; pret. සීරුවා; v. n. සීරීම.

සම·ඥාව, n. (සම all, ඥ to know), report, repute, fame; name, appellation, නාමය, සංඥානාමය.

සිහසුන, සිහස්න, n. (සිහ අසුන) E. of සිංහාස නය: royal seat, throne.

සු·චිත්‍රකයා, n. variegated one, viz. kingfisher, පිළිහුඩුවා.
