තලා, a plant, basil, Ocimum, of which there are many species, see හීන්තලා and මදුතරුලාතා (Labi.); also a tree, Cassia Fistula (Legum.).

ස්ථිරා·යු, lit. long-lived: silk-cotton tree, Bombax malabaricum.

බෝ,බෝගහ, peepul or sacred fig-tree, Ficus religiosa (Urti.). It is regarded as sacred because, it is said, on the day when Gautama attained Buddhahood he sat down under it on a throne which had miraculouby sprung up for him on the instant: see බෝධිපර්‍ය්‍යංකය.
