අ දෘඪාස්ථි, a. (අස්ථි), soft-boned, hollow-boned, ඇට සවිනැති or කුහරවූ (සතා).

අ ෂ්ටාස්‍ර, a. (අස්‍ර corner), octagonal: see අෂ්ට කෝණ.

අ සද්ධර්‍මය, n. (අසත් untrue), untrue doctrine, heterodoxy, මිථ්‍යාධර්‍මය; evil practice. අයහ පත් කල්ක්‍රියාව; cohabitation, මෛථුනය, සං වාසය.

අධෝ කශේරුකා ස්ථිය, n. (අස්ථිය), os sacrum, sacrum, පිටකොන්දෙන් පහත් පුරුක.

අන්තඃ කල්පය, n. a certain number of years in Buddhism: according to B. man's age increases by imperceptible degrees from ten years to an Asankhya (අසංඛ්‍ය) and then decreases in the same way to ten years: the period required for this is an Antahkalpa. See අසංඛ්‍ය.

අර්‍ධාස්ථි, අර්‍ධාස්ථ්‍යාකාර, a. (අස්ති ආකාර), semi-osseous, මඳක් සත්තු ඇට ආකාර.

අර්‍ධාස්වචර, a. (අස්වචජ), semi-opaque, ‍හෙඳට විනිවිද ‍නොපෙනෙ‍න.

අස්ත ගිරි, අස්ත පර්‍වතය, අස්නය, n. (අස්ත setting, west), western mountain: see අපර පර්‍වතය.

අස්තං ගත, a. (අස්තං westward, ගත gone), that has set (of the sun &c.), බට, බැස්ස.

අස්තිකාරයා, n. (අස්ති substance), wealthy person, වස්තුකාරයා.

අස්මත්ශබ්දය, අස්මදවාචකය, අස්මදවාච්‍යය, n. (අස්මද් Sans. base of I and We), gram. first-person word, viz. the word which expresses the first person, as I, We, and their cases, as my, our &c.

අසිරි රූ, n. (අසිරි wonderful, රූ form), ap. of Cupid, කාමදෙවියෝ.

අසුරඟන, n. (අසුර අඟන), E. of අසුරාංගනාව: female Asura.
