නව·ලෝකෝත්තරධර්‍ම, n. pl. (ලෝක උත්තර), the nine world-eminent doctrines, viz. those relating to the four stages or courses of purification with their four fruitions and Nirvána. The four courses &c. are: සෝවාන් මාර්‍ගය and ඵලය, සකෘදාගාමි මාර්‍ගය and ඵලය, අනාගාමි මාර්‍ගය and ඵලය, අර්‍හත් මාර්‍ගය and ඵලය and නිර්‍වාණය. See each term.

යමක·ප්‍රාතිහාර්‍ය්‍යය, n. twin or double miracle, දෙයාකාර ආශ්චර්‍ය්‍යය: a power said to have been possessed by Buddha to cause a stream of fire to issue from one pore of his body (ලෝම සිදුරකින්), and a stream of water from another at one and the same time, and that to prove his miraculous power to the නිගණ්ඨ or naked mendicants be caused such streams to issue together from his eyes, ears and nostrils. The power to work these miracles was the result of his having accomplished තේජෝකසීණ and අපෝකසිණ.

ලේකාස්වාද·රතිය, n. (ලෝක අස්වාද) cohabitation, සංවාසය.

ලෝඉසුරු, n. (ලෝකේශ්වර) Chief of the world; ap. of Siva or Buddha.

ලෝකාලෝකය, n. (ලෝක seeing, අලෝක not seeing) ap. of the සක්වළ ගල as supposed to cause light and darkness, being between the continents (ද්විප) and the sun.

ලෝකේශයා, ලෝකේශ්වරයා, n. (ලෝක ඊශ and ඊශ්වර) Lord of the world, ap. of Brahma and Buddha.

ලෝකෝත්තමයා, n. (ලෝක උත්:) Chief of the world, ap. of Buddha.

ලෝකෝත්තර, n. (ලෝකඋත්:) pre-eminent in the world, ලෝකයේ උත්තම, the opposite of ලෞකික.

ලෝකෝත්පත්තිය, n. (ලෝක උත්:), cosmogony, physiogony, ලෝකයේ ඉපදීම.

ලෝකෝදභවය, n. (ලෝක උද්). origin of the world.

ලෝකෝර්‍ධව·ස්ථ, a. (ලෝක ඌර්‍ධවස්ථ), supermundane, supramundane, ලෝකයට උඩින් පිහිටි.

ලෝචකය, n. (ලෝච් to see), pupil of the eye, කළුඉංගිරියාව; stibium or lamp-black so used, අඦන.

ලෝපාශකයා, n. (ලෝප refuse, අශ් to eat), carrion-eater, viz. jackal, නරියා.

ලෝමීක, a (ලෝම ඉක aff). woolly, hairy, ලොම්වූ.

ලෝහාභිසාරය, ලෝහාභිහාරය, n. (ලෝහ weapons, අභි: going to or attending to), lustration of arms before a campaign, adorning and worshipping weapons of war.
