අ ගාධ, a. bottomless, very deep, profound, පල්ලක්නැති, ඉතා ගැඹුරු.

අ ගූඪ, a. not profound, simple, ගම්භිරනැති, පහසු.

අ මූල, අමූ ලික, a. rootless, causeless, මුලක් or හේතුවක් නැති, groundless, unfounded, baseless, නීකරුණ, අසත්‍ය.

අති ගම්භීර, a. very deep or profound, very abstruse, very recondite. See ගම්භීර.

අනු,, prefix, signifying association, with; like, according to; sub, secondary, assistant; after. [This must not be confounded with අනු from අන්. and a following උ such as අනුචිත fr. අන්උචිත.]

අභි ඥාත, a. ascertained, known, දැන‍‍‍ගනතිබෙව, දන්නාලද, අභිඥානය, අභිඥාව n profound or sp. or extraordinary knowledge, cognition, recognition, විශේෂ දැනගැන්ම or දැනීම; five supernatural acquirements of Rahats, viz. power to assume any form, to hear the feeblest sounds and see objects at any distance, to know the disposition and thoughts of others, to know the condition of any person in former existences.

අරමණයා, n. a maggot found in sores, වණයේ පණුවා.

අවුල්කරනවා, v. t. to confuse, jumble, confound.

අහිරාවා, n. a kind of small fish (found in fields).
