අ විමතික, a. non-dissentient, unperplexed, of one or the same opinion, විමත නොවන, එක මුතු.

අධි මාසය, n. intercalary month, consisting of the difference between the solar and lunar year; super or superior month, viz., the first of any two months that begin during one and the same sign of the zodiac.

අන්තඃ, prefix, signifying within internal. The same as අන්තර්, but used before certain letters, as below.

අන්තඃ කල්පය, n. a certain number of years in Buddhism: according to B. man's age increases by imperceptible degrees from ten years to an Asankhya (අසංඛ්‍ය) and then decreases in the same way to ten years: the period required for this is an Antahkalpa. See අසංඛ්‍ය.

අනු ජාතයා, n. (අනු like), a son like his father or of the same quality or nature, පියාට සමවූ – සමාන – පුත්‍රයා.

අපරන්ත, n. the after-crop (but not the same kind as the first).

අස්තය, අස්තේ, n. The same as අස්තකඩදාසිය.

ආ දෘශය, n. example, sample, specimen; illustration; pattern, මෝස්තරය; model, අච්චුව.

ආයේ, v: pret. the same as ආවේ, came.

ඊ, n. The sixth vowel of the alphabet. Its sound is the previous vowel lengthened, and is the same as ee in Peel or Feel. Its non-initial form is ී placed above the consonant it vocalizes, as කී, මී, kí, mí.

උභය කුලය, n. double caste or descent, viz. the same caste from both father and mother.

එක එල්ලේ, ad. at once, straightway, altogether, viz. at one and the same time.

එක තාත්තුව, එක තාලය, n. one and the same musical measure.

එක පමණ, a. of the same degree, equal, එක ප්‍රමාණ.

එකම, එකමකුදු, a. just one, only, the only, the sole; one and the same.
