අ සනීපය, n. illness, sickness, disease.

අ සනීපවෙනවා, v. i. to become ill, sicken.

අත නූල් බඳිනවා, v. to tie a charmed thread on the arm (for sickness); to tie a thread on the hands of a bride and bridegroom.

අෂ්ට ලෝක ධර්‍ම, n. pl. the eight laws of the world of men, viz. profit, loss; praise, blame; disgrace, honour; health, sickness.

ආබාධ, ආබාධක, a. sick, infirm, invalid, රෝගාතුර.

ගිලාන·පච්චය or ·පඩය or ·ප්‍රත්‍යය, n. sick diet; things which a priest may eat.

තොවිල්කරනවා, v. to perform devil-ceremonies, use incantations to expel demons, exorcise demons by the use of යන්ත්‍රමන්ත්‍ර &c., and so heal the sick one whose disease is supposed to be occasioned by them.

දාත්‍රය, n. a sort of sickle, දැකැත්ත.
