අ සම්මත, a. dissenting, dissentient, recusant. discordant, එකඟනැති, එකමුතුනැති.

අ සම්මතයා, n. dissenter, non-content, recusant, එකමුතු නැත්තා.

අටඟ මිණ, n. (අට අඟ) octagonal gem: one was given by Sakra to king Kusa, which, applied to his face, removed its ugliness and made it beautiful. so that his wife received him again.

අනන්තයා, n. the infinite one: ap. of නාගරාජයා, so called because he has two thousand tongues.

අනභ්‍යාසය, n. non-practice or non-practising, භාවිතානොකිරීම; non-usage, disuse, අව්‍යවහා රය, භාවිතානැතිකම.

අනු සාරය, n. following after; conforming to custom or usage; අනුවයාම; means or medium, උපක්‍රමය.

අභ්‍යාඛ්‍යානය, n. (අභි ආඛ්‍යානය), groundless acousation, unjust reviling, බොරුවෙන් දොස් තැබීම or නිගාකිරීම.

අභි යෝගය, n. attack; accusation (at law); rebuke, reproof, අවවාදය.

අයිරා, ad. above, more than, වැඩි, as අයිරා දහ සක්, above a thousand.

අයුත, n. ten thousand, දසදහසක්.

අර්‍ජුන, n. Arjuna, a king who has a thousand arms; peacock, ‍මොනරා; the third of the five Pāndava princes, තුන්වෙනි පාණ්ඩව. Bot.

අවතාරය, n. apparition, ghost, fantasm, spectre, sprite, manes, ප්‍රේතයා; in ancient usage: descent or incarnation of a god, as of Vishnu in the form of a fish, tortoise, boar, man-lion (නෘසිංහ), dwarf, the two Rāmas, Krishna, Buddha, Kalki &c.; also for අවතරණය.

අවන්කෙළිය, n. carousal play or bout, සුරා කෙළිය.

ආ ගම, n. (ආ to, ගම coming), coming, arrival, පැමිණීම; gram. augment; general usage: religious system, religion.
