පොර, n. pl. or a. of පොරය: boxing, strife &c.

පංච·ලවණ, n. pl. five kinds of salt: rock salt, sea salt, factitious salt or bit-loben, saltpetre and sal-ammoniac.

පුරෝධා, පුරෝහිතයා, n. (පුරස් first, ධා held, හිත revered), family priest (of Brahmins), පවුලේ පූජකයා; minister of state, counsellor, මන්ත්‍රියා; the planet Jupiter or its regent, බෘහස්පති.

පෙල්ලු·ගැහෙනවා, v. i. to fall into ranks, parties or gangs (as workmen).

ප්‍රති·පක්‍ෂ, a. (ප්‍රති opposing), adverse, opposing, antagonistic, inimical, විරුඬවූ.

පාරාජිකා, a. meriting expulsion; pert. to the four heinous offences which exclude from the priesthood and for which there is no expiation in this life. viz. sexual intercourse, theft, murder, false assumption of the name and character of a 'rahat'.

ප්‍රති·පීඩිත, a. very afflicted, distressed, ඉතා පීඩිත.

පිත්ත·ජ්වරය, n. bilious fever.

පියා·පත්·වැස්ම, n. wing-case, wing-shell.

පටවිය, n For පඨවි: the earth, පොළොව පටවුම, n. hiding one's self, සැඟවීම.
