වි·දර්භ, n. (වි priv., දර්භ sacrificial grass), desert region, කාන්තාර පළාතක් a district and city to the south-west of Bengal, so called, it is said, because the sacred grass does not grow there, the district having been cursed by a saint whose son had died of a wound from a blade of that grass. The district is now called Berar.
