අ ස්පර්‍ශනීයතා‍ව, &c., n. intangibility &c.

අනු සාරයෙන්, ad. through the medium of, by; as තෝල්ක අනුසාරයෙන්, by interpretation.

අ නද, අ නඳ, n. E. of අනන්‍ද: joy, ර්‍ප්‍රතිය; name of a celebrated disciple of Buddha.

අට පිරිස, n. the eight retinues that attended Buddha, viz. military or royal persons, brahmayas, regents of planets, B. priests, Chāturmahārājika gods (the four imperial gods), the Tautisā gods, Māra deities and Brahma: ක්ෂත්‍රියයෝ or රජවරු, බ්‍රහ්මයෝ, ග්‍රහපතියෝ, ශ්‍රම ණයෝ, චාතුර්‍මහාරාජික දෙවිවරු, තව්තිසා දෙවි වරු, මාර දේවතාවරු, මහාබ්‍රහ්මයා. අභි සන්තාපය, n. (අභි emp., සන්තාපය burning), deep regret or repentance, තද තැවීම; curse, ශාපය; war, යුඬය.

අ වැඩය, n. harm, injury, detriment, misfortune, අයහපත, අලාභ හානිය.

අ ශාන්තකරනවා, v. t. to disquiet, trouble, destroy peace, agitate, චලිත or චංචලකරනවා.
